Crunchy Chiro | Soft Tissue Therapy for Muscle Strains and Sprains

What is Soft Tissue Therapy?

Soft Tissue Therapy is a type of manual therapy used to treat soft tissue injuries including muscle strains and sprains. This technique uses stretching and deep pressure to break up rigid muscle tissue, relax muscle tension, and move fluids trapped in the tissues that cause pain and inflammation.

What Is It Used For?

Soft Tissue Therapy (STT) is a safe and effective form of conservative treatment used to help back pain, neck pain, ankle sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, shoulder impingement, and knee and hip pain. Dr. Kristin uses stretching and STT to help speed recovery and restore function to injured muscles, tissues, and ligaments.

Goals of Soft Tissue Mobilization:

  • Break down or reduce adhesions

  • Improve range of motion

  • Lengthen muscles and tendons

  • Reduce swelling and edema

  • Decrease pain

  • Restore functionality

Dr. Kristin is specially trained to use her hands to push, pull and knead your muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves in precise ways to help bring you pain relief and return you to functionality.
